Agoston Tempranillo Cabernet - Spain
Gutsy, spicy Tempernillo, the great Spanish grape used in Rioja, is beefed up with a splash of dark, cassis riddled Cabernet Sauvignon.
Mallee Point Merlot - Australia
Now this is what merlot is all about! Soft and velvety with lashings of creamy plum, damson and vanilla fruit this is a winner in every sense of the word.
Primitivo Puglia di San Marzano - Italy
Really polished and glossy with oodles of creamy blackberry fruit. This is an italian fighter with plenty of attack
Chianti Grati - Italy
Classic Chianti – full of redcurrant and blackberry fruit and a very freesh and pleasing note. A true reflection fo the Tuscan soil  and Tuscan sun.
Pago de Cirsus Navarra - Spain
Dusky chocolate, coconut, spice, cigar box and blackcurrant aromas explode from the glass
Chateau bauduc Clos des Quinze - France
Majority merlot with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark hue. Attractive fruit with well integrated spicy, chocolate oak. Supple atack. Good acidity leaves the palate fresh
Woodstock Shiraz Cabernet - Australia
Butch, rich, a little wicked, extremely naughty and a bit of a blockbuster!
Langmeil Christians Journey Cabernet - Australia
Classic perfume of cassis, cedar, truffles, tobacco and expensive leather abound
Rincon de Navas Rioja Crianza - Spain
Gorgeous dark bourneville, fruits with hints of port , leather, spice and liquorice flood the palate
Ben Marco Malbec - Argentina
An international style of red, this gracefully combines ripe red fruit and the toasty flavours of oak. Impressively balanced, this has a kind of tannic energy that extends the fruit flavour and keeps it fresh through a juicy, lightly spiced finish.
Hospice de Beaune – Corton Cuvee Charlotte Dumay
Super tight and intense cherry cinnamon notes with wisps of five spice and truffles in the background. A mind-blowingly brilliant wine, full of romance and bacchanalian devilment.
Godolphin – Australia
Genuinely one of the greatest wines in the world, the Godolphin is produced using priceless 110 year old vines in the Barossa Valley which yield miniscule amounts of hand-picked fruit. The great Ben Glaetzer then crafts a wine of staggering power but with supreme elegance and femininity. A life affirming, never to be forgotten experience…
Chateau Lynch Bages – Fifth Growth Pauillac – Bordeaux
This may turn out to be the finest Lynch Bages made since the 2000. The vintages between 2000 and 2006 are certainly very good, but seemingly lighter-styled in addition to being more forward and soft. The seriously-endowed, dense ruby/purple-tinged 2006 reveals a classic nose of creme de cassis, roasted meats as well as herbs, licorice, and toasty oak. Fleshy, full-bodied, opulent, and well-endowed, it will be at its peak in 5-6 years, and should keep for 20 or more. Score: 91-93 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (170), April 2007
